The Chi-Do system
of gradings is White, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Brown and Black. The 1st teaching grade is a Black with White
stripe to indicate the commencing of the next level of growth in the art.
Humility, respect for the art and respect of others, the ability
to teach and in general, a good approach to life is required for the 2nd Black.
We teach up to 6th Dan and welcome
other Sensei or Sifu from all other arts to our classes as honoured guests.
Gradings are held once each year, about the end of May or the beginning
of June.
A beginner
who is new to the art will be expected to be safe on the mat and to show respect for the arts, the other students and themselves.
Each stage of progression
is to cultivate self confidence, fitness and an attitude towards life in general that is compatible with good conduct and
discipline.
Each
one of us is human and we all have to experience so many things in our lives that make us whole. We understand this
and allow each to make their own mistakes, to come to us when needed for help and support.
We do not judge others but respect your rights to be free.
We do not tolerate
gossiping or bad mouthing anyone. Neither do we tolerate undesirable ego or intolerant conduct.
This is a school for life.
