This event takes place in June each year and is an opportunity for all students to show
what they have learned,
To
say that I am proud of and honoured by the students is an understatement. Every single student excelled to a point
that Master Lee has commented that to be the best grading he has ever seen.

3rd Dan, Lee Fairweather ShoDan and Master of Lee Tai Chi.
Brown 1st
Kyu was awarded to Simon Nell, Rab Paton, Chris Cory, Peter Ling, James Norman and Alex Smith.
Blue 2nd Kyu was awarded to Jon Del Mar.
Green 3rd
Kyu was awarded to Edwin Sykes.
Orange 4th Kyu was awarded to Liam Robinson.
Yellow 5th Kyu was awarded to Dawn Fletcher, Julian Anderson, Bibiana Crosier, Felix Marrington-Reeve,
Jonathan Reeve. Cameron Robb will be graded next week.
Our thanks to
those not grading who came along to support the others. It was good to see our visitors and for others not familiar
with these arts to see what can be done.
Those awarded Brown will not grade
for at least two years. During this time, they will learn a deeper understanding of the art and how to teach.
Well done to all of you. Tony
Footnote...
On the 5th october 2009 I was pleased to welcome John Kay as Specialist Skills Instructor
to the club. He is on the right, in the above picture. An excellent martial artist with a wealth of experience.
His skills are very welcome and I am honoured to have him as a friend and colleague. Tony
